I need help casting a professional voice over, what should I do?

I have found a voice talent on your site I want to record for me. How do I hire them?

Simply register for free to create an account, find the voice over artist that you want to book, and either click AUDITION VOICE FOR FREE or HIRE VOICE TALENT NOW. The rest of the process in so intuitive, we doubt you'll need to come back to this page!

How quickly can I get a voice over recorded?

If the voice actor you select is available immediately, there’s a good chance you can have the final file on your desktop or to your audio engineer within 2-4 hours. On the search page you can specify that you need a voice that can get the recording back in 4 hours or less. This is not a guarantee, but is achievable if everything falls into place. Just let the voice talent know you’re tight for time. Look for voices which feature the 'FAST VOICE CASTING' logo.

So how much does it cost to hire a voice over talent?

Can I listen and direct the talent while they record?

If you would like to listen to a voice while they record for you, look for talent that list this in their EXTRA SERVICES info, there's no extra cost! You can search for those specific voice talent on the SEARCH PAGE. Select the option: Ability to be directed.

How do I pay for a voiceover? Is it safe?

You can easily pay with a credit card through our secure payment system. We hold onto the payment until the voice talent completes the recording for you. You'll receive a tax invoice straight away and you can keep tab of your payments and jobs in your 'My Account' section.

We use SSL encryption to transmit all the data you input, so you're safe! Once you're in the system you are able to give the voice artist direction and ask for re-records to get the read just right!

I'd like some music or sound effects added to the voice recording.

Most of our voice over talent can add royalty free music or sound effects to your recording. Be sure to select the extra production fee when booking the voice.

You'll also need to supply the voice talent with the music you wish to use. Most songs need to be licensed. Your best bet is to buy a 'royalty free' track.

Are there any other fees I should know about?

NONE. Our voice over casting service is free! The price you pay for all non-broadcast recordings is buyout, meaning you don't have any residuals or royalties to pay. However, if the usage changes from what was originally paid for, then additional fees must be paid. For example, if you book and pay for a TV spot, that is then used online six months later, you must pay for that additional usage.
