The fine print, in plain English

Our terms.

What you get, what it costs, what's free and what isn't. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Last updated October 3, 2026

The short version.

  • $299 to build your site with one of our looks, or $499 made from scratch. A $100 deposit gets your first draft made (not happy with it, or it’s not going in the direction you wanted? We refund $80 of it, keeping a small $20 design fee), and the rest when your site is finished, before it goes live.
  • $8 a month for hosting and updates. Your first month is paid together with the rest of your build, then it’s the same amount on that date each month, with a 12-month minimum. After that, cancel any time.
  • Everyday updates are free. Adding, swapping or reordering demos, any text, a new photo, new clients or credits, new contact, agent or social links, and small fixes. Send it and we'll do it.
  • Bigger changes are $50 each, and a complete redesign is $299 into one of our looks, or $499 made from scratch. We always tell you before we start, and nothing's charged without your okay.
  • After 12 months, the site is yours to take. If you leave, we send you your whole website and all its files in a zipped folder. Your domain is bought in your name, so that's always yours too.

Prices are shown in your currency, picked at the top of the page. The short version is a guide; the full terms below are the agreement.

1Who we are

Voice Talent Websites is part of The Voice Realm LLC ("we", "us"). These terms are between us and you, the voice talent we build a website for ("you"). When you send us your files, pay for your build or use our hosting, you're agreeing to these terms.

You need to be 18 or over to order a site. If you're younger, a parent, guardian or agent needs to order it for you and agree to these terms on your behalf.

2Your website

We design and build a website around you: your demos, photo, bio, credits, clients, socials and booking details, laid out so your demos play first and it works properly on phones. You can pick one of the looks we've made, or have one made from scratch. For a design from scratch, you send us links to at least two websites you love so we know the feel you're after.

Every site includes your brand at no extra cost: a tagline and two or three specialties we work out with you, and a logo designed for you. You approve them before we build the site around them.

We also host it for you (section 9) and keep it up to date (section 6), for as long as your hosting is active.

3Prices and paying

  • The build: $299 for one of our looks (a design you've seen on our site, made yours), or $499 made from scratch (a design of your own from a blank page). Paid in two parts: a $100 deposit when you enquire, through a secure payment link we email you, and the rest ($199 or $399) when your site is finished and you're happy with it, before it goes live. We start designing once the deposit is paid and we've talked it through with you.
  • Hosting and updates: $8 a month, with your first month included in the payment for the rest of your build, then billed on the same date each month to the card you paid with (or through PayPal, if you paid with PayPal). Hosting has a 12-month minimum; after the first 12 months it carries on month to month until you cancel (section 12). It covers keeping your site online, fast and secure, and free everyday updates (section 6).
  • Bigger changes: $50 each, and a complete redesign: $299 into one of our looks, or $499 made from scratch. See section 6 for what counts as what.

Prices are shown in US dollars, British pounds, euros, Australian dollars or Canadian dollars, set from your location or your choice at the top of the page, and you are charged in the currency shown on your payment link. The amounts on this page change with that choice. If your card is in a different currency, your bank does the conversion and may add its own fee. Card payments are handled by our payment processor and PayPal payments by PayPal; we never see or keep your full card number.

If a monthly payment fails, we'll let you know and give you 14 days to sort it out. After that we may take your site offline until it's paid. We'll bring it back as soon as it is.

If we ever change our prices, we'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you.

4How long it takes

Five to seven business days from the day we have everything we need from you: your demos, a photo, a few lines about you and your domain name. If something is still on its way, the clock starts when it lands. Business days are Monday to Friday, New York time, not counting US public holidays.

That's our aim, not a promise we can make in every case. If anything is going to hold your site up, we'll tell you.

5Checking it before it goes live

Before we build anything, we talk to you about what you'd like, so nothing is designed from a form alone. Before anything goes public, we send you a private link to your finished site. Tell us what to tweak and we'll tweak it. Adjustments to what we've built are part of your build, so there's no charge for getting it right.

Once you tell us you're happy, or 14 days after we send you the private link without hearing back, we treat the site as approved. We then ask for the rest of your build fee, and put your site live as soon as it's paid. From then on, changes follow section 6.

6Updates and changes

Your site should keep up with your career, so the everyday changes are included in your monthly hosting.

Everyday updatesFree

Swapping, adding, removing or reordering demos. Changing your bio or any text, typos included. A new headshot or photo. Adding a new client, credit or testimonial. New contact, agent or social links. Small fixes, like a broken link or a line that wraps oddly on a phone.

Bigger changes$50 each

A new section, a rearranged layout, new colours or fonts, a new feature, or anything that changes how the site is designed or built rather than what it says.

Complete redesign$299 / $499

A brand new look for your whole site: $299 into one of our looks, $499 designed from scratch. Built around the details we already hold, so you won't retype a thing.

  • Send updates by email. We'll usually have everyday updates done within a few business days.
  • If we think a request is a bigger change or a redesign, we'll tell you and quote it before we start. Nothing is charged unless you say yes.
  • Everyday updates are free within reason. If requests ever arrive so often that they turn into a project of their own, we'll talk to you before going further.
  • Paid changes are charged when you approve them, through a payment link like your build.
  • Updates are included while your hosting is active. Once you've taken your site with you, changes are yours to make, or we can quote for them.

7What you send us

You're responsible for everything you send us to put on your site, and you confirm that you have the right to use it. That includes:

  • Demos. Any music, sound effects or client audio in them must be cleared for you to use on your own website.
  • Photos. You need the photographer's permission to use them, if it isn't your own photo.
  • Client names, credits, logos and reviews. Only name clients you've actually worked for, and only in the way your agreement with them allows. Reviews must be real and from the person or company they're credited to. Brand names and logos belong to their owners.

We're not able to check the rights to everything we're sent, so we rely on you. If someone tells us something on your site isn't yours to use, we may take it down while it's sorted out, and we'll let you know.

We may tidy your wording, fix spelling, resize images and even out demo volume so your site sounds and looks its best. We won't change what you're saying.

8Your domain

Your web address (like yourname.com) is bought by you, in your name, from any domain company you like. You pay for it and renew it directly with them, and it's always yours. We only ever point it at your site.

Keep an eye on its renewal date. If a domain lapses, your site stops showing at that address, and that's between you and your domain company.

9Hosting

We host your site on our own servers, keep it secure, and keep it fast. We aim to keep it online around the clock, but no host can promise that nothing ever goes wrong: there may be short breaks for maintenance or for problems outside our control. We keep backups and fix problems as quickly as we can.

10Google and results

Every site we build is made the way Google says it wants websites built: fast on phones, clear about who you are and what you do. But nobody can guarantee a place in Google's results, and we don't. Where you appear also depends on your name, how many people search for what you do, your competition, your reviews and which other sites link to you.

In the same way, we can't promise that a website will bring you bookings or income. That part is down to your voice, and we think you'll do just fine.

11Who owns what

Your content is yours. Your demos, photos, words and name stay yours. You give us permission to use them to build, host and update your site, and to back them up. That permission ends when your site comes down.

Your logo is yours. The logo we design for you is yours to use anywhere you like: your profile, email signature, socials and anything else, including after you leave us. We give you the files.

Your website, once your first 12 months are done. While we host it, your site runs on our servers and we look after it. Once you've had it for 12 months, it's yours to take: if you leave, we send you the complete website and all its files in a zipped folder (section 12), and you can do whatever you like with it for your own site. Host it anywhere, change it, keep it.

Our designs. We reuse our looks across sites, so another voice talent may have a site in the same look as yours (a site made from scratch is designed for you alone). The one thing you can't do with the files is sell our designs or code on to others as a product.

We may show your finished site as an example of our work. If you'd rather we didn't, just tell us and we'll stop.

12Cancelling

The first 12 months. Hosting has a 12-month minimum, counted from the day you pay the rest of your build. If you cancel before then, the months left of the 12 are still due. Once they're paid, you get your files just the same.

After 12 months. Cancel any time by emailing us. Hosting runs until the end of the month you've already paid for, then stops. There's no fee for leaving, and we won't try to talk you out of it (much).

Taking your site with you. When your hosting ends, we send you your complete website and all its files (the pages, your demos, photos, images and everything needed to run it) in a zipped folder, within 30 days, so you can put it up anywhere you like. We point your domain back to you if we'd been managing its settings. After that your site comes off our servers.

We can end our service too, with 30 days' notice by email, or straight away if these terms are seriously broken, for example by something in section 14. If we end it for any reason other than a serious breach, you get your zipped website whether or not 12 months have passed.

13Refunds

  • The deposit and your first draft. Your $100 deposit gets your first draft made. Once you’ve seen it, if it isn’t what you were expecting, or it’s not going in the direction you wanted, just tell us within 14 days and we’ll refund $80 of your $100 deposit, keeping only a $20 design fee for the work done. No hard feelings, and you owe nothing more. If you change your mind before we’ve started designing, you get the whole $100 back.
  • The build. If we can't deliver your site, you get everything you've paid for it back in full. Otherwise the rest of the build fee is only due once your site is finished and approved, and section 5 means we keep working with you until it's right.
  • Hosting. Monthly payments aren't refunded for part of a month. After your first 12 months, cancelling stops the next one.
  • Bigger changes and redesigns. The same as the build: if we can't do what we quoted, you get your money back.

None of this takes away any rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

14What we won't host

We won't build or keep a site that's unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, that pretends to be someone it isn't, or that's hateful, sexually explicit, or misleading to the people who visit it. We also won't host anything that uses someone else's voice without their permission, including a cloned or generated copy of it.

15Our responsibility

We work hard to build good sites and keep them running, and when something goes wrong we fix it. But we can't be responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have seen coming, such as lost bookings, lost income or lost opportunities, or for things outside our control, such as your domain company, Google, or a problem with the internet itself.

As far as the law allows, the most we'll be responsible for in total is what you've paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law says can't be limited.

16Your details

We use your name, email and the files you send only to build, host, update and bill for your site, and to talk to you about it. We never sell your details. The Voice Realm's privacy policy explains how we look after personal information.

17Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change affects you in a meaningful way, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version.

18The legal bit

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute goes to the state and federal courts in New York County, New York, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring it somewhere else. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, along with anything we agree with you in writing by email, are the whole agreement between us about your site.

19Talk to us
